Dennis Chiwele

Dennis Chiwele is an economist who was IGC’s Country Manager for Zambia between 2014 and 2020. Before that he served as a Research Fellow at the University of Zambia and worked as the Principal Economist at Zambia’s Prices and Incomes Commission. He has also worked as a consultant for Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, UN-Habitat, and the World Bank, among others. He read economics at the University of Zambia and the International University of Japan before receiving his DPhil in Development Economics from the Institute of Development Studies (IDS) at the University of Sussex.
