Francesco Strobbe is a Senior Financial Economist with the World Bank Group (WBG).  Over the past four years he has been responsible for the financial sector development agenda in Ethiopia.

Prior to joining the World Bank he worked as an economist for the European Central Bank, the International Monetary Fund and has led microfinance projects for NGOs in Zambia and in Kenya. Francesco holds a PhD in Economics and Management from the University of Padua (Italy) and was a visiting scholar at Boston University and MIT in the USA.
