Francois-Xavier de Mevius

François-Xavier de Mevius is currently an investment analyst at Verlinvest, an investment holding company based in Brussels. He worked for two years as a Macroeconomist at the President’s Office Planning Commission in Tanzania, as an ODI fellow. He has a Master’s degree from the Université de Namur (Belgium) and an MSc Economics degree from Warwick University (United Kingdom). His past working experience includes working as an independent consultant for Ecorys, The Economist Intelligence Unit, and as a teacher assistant in Belgium, mainly around the topics of international debt relief, the resource curses and macroeconomic planning. His current interests relate to the role of development finance in growing the private sector in developing countries.
