Gareth Nellis is a second-year PhD student in political science at Yale University. I completed my undergraduate and masters degrees at Cambridge University and SOAS, University of London.  My research explores topics in comparative political economy, with a regional focus on modern South Asia. Current projects include the political consequences of MG-NREGA in Andhra Pradesh, India, the determinants of attitudes toward migration in Mumbai, and the effects of government transfer programs on political participation.
