Isobel Coleman

Dr. Isobel Coleman is an author, entrepreneur and diplomat who served as one of the US ambassadors to the UN from 2014 to 2017. She is currently the COO of GiveDirectly, a New York based non-profit helping to reshape international assistance by providing unconditional cash transfers to those living in extreme poverty. Coleman was previously a partner with McKinsey and a senior fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). Prior to joining the CFR, Coleman was CEO of a healthcare services company. She serves on several non-profit boards, including Plan USA, Student Sponsor Partners and the National Outdoor Leadership School.
