John Rwirahira is a rural economist with a Masters degree from Witwatersrand University, South Africa. He has extensive experience of carrying out research in Rwanda and has expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methods. He has varied experience in academia as a lecturer, in agribusiness as an international market specialist and in research as a researcher fellow and consultant. His research interest is mostly agricultural, rural and poverty related issues. Mr John Rwirahira has now spent about 5 years with IPAR where he has led a number of research projects in agriculture, MDGs, health, social protection and economic transformation. He is an enthusiastic, responsible and hard working person with proven abilities to handle multiple tasks and great adaptability to different working environment. Mr John Rwirahira is fluent in English, French, Swahili and Kinyarwanda.
