Jonathan Argent is a Consultant with the International Finance Corporation in Rwanda. Previously he was an In-Country Economist for the IGC in Rwanda from January 2011 to December 2012. Prior to joining the IGC, Jonathan worked as a researcher for the South African Labour and Development Research Unit (SALDRU) at the University of Cape Town. His work at SALDRU was on the analysis of national survey data, focussing on topics in poverty analysis, income estimation and data quality. He holds honours degrees in Economics and Finance from the University of Cape Town and an MSc Economics from University College London, where he was a Commonwealth Scholar.
