Miguel Angel Jimenez Gallardo is a former Country Economist for the International Growth Centre, based in Mozambique. Before joining the IGC, he worked in the Mexican Government and in various international organisations and NGOs, including the World Bank, and Innovations for Poverty Action, among others.
Miguel Angel holds a Master in International Economics and a Master in Development Studies from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID). His current research areas include firms, competitiveness, trade and productivity, industrial policy, financial inclusion, agriculture, and state and economic governance.
