Patrick Mathewson was formerly a Country Economist with the International Growth Centre in Zambia. He holds an MPA in Public and Economic Policy with distinction from the London School of Economics, and a MA in Economics and International Relations from the University of St Andrews.

He has contributed to IGC research on complementarities in health, energy, and education infrastructure in Zambia. While at the LSE he served as a capstone consultant for the Boston Consulting Group’s Centre for Public Impact. Prior to this, he was an associate at a boutique investment firm based in Edinburgh, Scotland. He is passionate about education, having served for 3 years as a trustee of the University of St Andrews.
