Pia is a PhD Candidate in Comparative Politics and Political Economy at Yale University. She is interested in the political economy of local governance in settings with weak institutions and high information asymmetries, in particular in Sub-Saharan Africa. Her dissertation research focuses on political oversight of bureaucrats and implications for public service provision.
