Rania Nasir is Head of the Firms initiative at the IGC London Hub. She holds an MPA from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. Before joining the IGC, Rania worked on a private sector development program which operated in Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Timor Leste, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. During her time there, she used the Making-Markets-Work-for-the-Poor approach to develop and evaluate innovations in horticulture and livestock sectors. She also revamped the system of aggregating results across all five countries according to the standards set by the Donor Committee of Enterprise Development.

Rania’s research interests are in development economics, women economic empowerment, and behavioral economics.
