Shubha Chakravarty

Ms. Chakravarty is a Senior Economist in the World Bank’s Social Protection and Jobs Practice in South Asia. She leads operations and analytical work on employment, livelihoods, and skills development with an emphasis on women’s and girls’ empowerment. She previously worked with the Bank’s Gender Innovation Lab in Africa, where she led impact evaluation research and advised teams on evidence-based project design.  Shubha completed a PhD in Economics from Columbia University in 2009. She is currently based in New Delhi, India with her family.
