Thandiwe Ng’ombe is a Country Economist at the International Growth Centre (IGC) in Zambia. She holds an MSc in Development Economics from the University of Sussex, and a Bachelor of Economics with Honours from Rhodes University.
Prior to the IGC, Thandiwe worked as an Impact Measurement Specialist at Genesis Analytics where she provided strategy and advisory support to private and public sector organisations. She also supported the design, implementation and evaluation of development interventions in agriculture, enterprise development and financial inclusion.
Thandiwe’s research interests include development, urban and public economics with a focus on poverty and inequality, firm productivity and growth, and education.
