Can research with policymakers change the world?

Working paper Sustainable Growth and State Effectiveness

This project investigates the impact of economist-policymaker collaborations on policy changes by analysing a unique dataset of over 500 development economics research projects. Findings suggest that partnerships with policymakers significantly increase the likelihood of policy changes, especially when formed early in the political term.
