Digitalisation of Pakistan’s tax system: Pathway for enhancing tax efficiency and compliance
This report evaluates Pakistan’s Federal Board of Revenue's (FBR) performance in dispute resolution by analysing complaints from the Pakistan Citizen's Portal. The report investigates how the FBR responds to its citizens’ complaints, if there is a mismatch between the complaint resolution status marked by the citizens and the FBR, how this misalignment impacts citizens’ satisfaction, and what this implies about the changes needed within the tax system to make it more responsive to citizens’ needs.
