The forest cover impacts of improved cookstoves
This study evaluates the impact of Rwanda’s Tubeho Neza improved cookstove programme on forest cover using staggered rollout data and satellite-based vegetation measures. It finds that cookstove adoption increases overall vegetation, with gains in forest cover in high-baseline areas and non-forest vegetation elsewhere.
