The gendered urban disadvantage: How place shapes women’s political participation in Pakistan
This project analyses gender gaps in voter turnout in Pakistan, where women participate significantly less than men, using detailed electoral and survey data to identify spatial and contextual drivers of inequality. It develops and tests targeted interventions, including a field experiment, to increase women’s political participation and inform inclusive electoral policy.
