The immediate impact of an integrated resilient development project on a coastal city in the Global South

Working paper Sustainable Growth and Cities

This study evaluates the immediate impacts of the Greater Accra Resilient and Integrated Development Project (GARID), a World Bank-supported initiative aimed at enhancing urban resilience and inclusive growth through multilateral collaboration. Findings reveal both promising improvements in transparency and community engagement, as well as challenges such as delayed implementation and temporary declines in resident satisfaction.
