Long-range forecasts as climate adaptation: Experimental evidence from developing-country agriculture
This project examines the impact of accurate long-range monsoon forecasts on farmers' behaviour and well-being in India. The provided forecasts helped farmers make better investment decisions, leading to significant changes in agricultural practices and outcomes. Improving forecasts and making them available to farmers could increase their wellbeing and boost the economies of farming communities around the world.
