Public roads on private lands: Land costs and optimal road improvements in urban Uganda
Evidence on the net returns of urban transport infrastructure investments in low-income countries remains limited. It uses novel data, surveys, and a spatial model to analyse local and city-level impacts, addressing land acquisition costs and varying property rights regimes.
