Sampling for spatial discontinuity designs

Working paper Firms, Trade and Sustainable Growth

This chapter examines spatial discontinuity designs for evaluating place-based policies, focusing on identification, sampling, and data collection challenges. It uses a Rwanda irrigation case study to show how to handle spatial units, respondent matching, and spillover effects in causal analysis.
