Socioeconomic determinants of energy poverty at household level in Uganda
This study examines energy poverty in Uganda, where electricity access has improved but major rural–urban disparities and widespread reliance on solid cooking fuels persist. By developing a multidimensional energy poverty index and mapping national hotspots, the research analyses socio-economic drivers to inform policies that expand affordable and sustainable energy access.
