Policies, programmes and innovations to improve transport and mobility infrastructure and systems to reduce traffic congestion and improve connectivity in Lusaka and other rapidly growing cities in Zambia

A growing number of cars combined with lack of public transport are resulting in increased congestion and road fatalities in Zambia. The National Economic Advisory Council and Lusaka City Council have explicitly expressed a need for research that considers ways to tackle these issues, including on understanding how public transportation systems can be improved and how traffic management tools such as road fees can work effectively.
