Reducing skills mismatch in the labour market: skills development to increase domestic employment

The changing structure of the Zambian economy from over dependence on Copper Mining to manufacturing and the move from traditional agriculture to agro-processing and industrial value addition to raw materials poses challenges with regards the right skills mix. Consequently, unemployment persists while the economy grows, with the bulk of employment being informal sector employment. Research questions might address what skills development is required to increase domestic employment.
