Scaling up of micro and small enterprises through technology, marketing and credit support

The larger-sized “microenterprise loans” currently account for about 8 percent of borrowers and about 30 percent of annual loan disbursements by the microfinance institutions in Bangladesh; further expansion of coverage of these loans is constrained by supply side factors, e.g fund shortage and the lending modalities that are different from mainstream microcredit; suitable for setting up RCTs with one or more of MFIs to assess the impact of such loans for microenterprise development.
