DFI Fragility Forum

The State Fragility initiative builds on the work of the LSE-Oxford Fragility Commission to develop & promote actionable recommendations to address dimensions of state fragility.

Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) play a major part in financing, and reducing the risks of, private investment in developing counties. This is all the more important in fragile and conflict-affected environments.

The DFI Fragility Forum on Private Investment in Fragile Environments was developed by Professor Paul Collier, in partnership with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the UK's British International Investment (BII), and the African Development Bank (AfDB), and launched in February 2019. It brings together DFIs to improve the effectiveness of job-creating private investment in fragile and conflict-affected environments.
