Day 3: Research Session – Large Firms

The session was chaired by Professor Chris Woodruff (University of Warwick)  and three people presented.

  1. The first presentation was entitled “ICT and Value Chain Coordination: Evidence from Kenya” by Dr Lorenzo Casaburi (Postdoctoral Fellow, SIEPR, Stanford University)
  2. The second presentation was by Professor Oriana Bandiera (Professor of Economics, LSE) and was entitled “Managing the Family Firm: Evidence from CEOs at work”
  3. Finally, Tarek Ghani (University of California, Berkeley) presented on “Competing for Relationships: Markets and Informal Institutions in Sierra Leone”
