Danny M. Leipziger is Professor of International Business and International Affairs at George Washington University, and Managing Director of the Growth Dialogue, an institute focused on policy research and advisory work in emerging market economies. He is former Vice President for Poverty Reduction and Economic Management (2004–09) at the World Bank. Over the course of his 28-year career at the World Bank, he held management positions in the East Asia and the Latin America and Caribbean Regions as well as in the World Bank Institute. Prior to joining the Bank, Dr Leipziger served in senior positions at the USAID and on the Policy Planning Staff of the U.S. Department of State. He also has been the Vice-Chair of the Spence Commission on Growth and Development (2005-2009) and a Member of the World Economic Forum’s Council on Inclusive Economic Growth.
