Felix Mwenge is a Research Fellow in the Human Development Unit of the Zambia Institute for Policy Analysis and Research. Felix Mwenge holds an MPH specialising in Health Economics from the University of Cape Town and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Zambia. He has also completed an online course on growth prospects of BRICS countries offered by Oxford University. He has worked as a Country Economist for IGC Zambia, and as a Health Financing Analyst for Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI) in Pretoria. During this time his main focus was on health expenditure analysis and alternative health financing options for South Africa. He also led the writing of a Health Financing Situational Analysis, which analysed the status quo and future outlook of health financing in South Africa. His main interests are in International Development and Policy Analysis, with focus on Africa. He is currently pursuing a newly introduced MPhil in Development Policy and Practice in the Graduate School of Development Policy and Practice (GSDPP) at the University of Cape Town.
