Hez Kimoomi Alinda is the Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer at the Uganda Free Zones Authority (UFZA). He has practical knowledge in Public Policy Research and Analysis, Strategic Management and Performance Management with extensive training in managing for results. Before joining UFZA, he was head of the Policy Unit at the Ministry of East African Community Affairs, where he contributed to the formulation of Uganda’s National Policy on EAC Integration, and other regional subsector policies. He also tracked the impact of these policies on the national economy to assess progress towards regional integration policy objectives for Uganda which include Market Access and Competitiveness. He also worked with the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) where he was responsible for generating policies and strategies for business growth. Hez is a Certified Balanced Scorecard Professional of the George Washington University College of professional studies. He has certification in ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System Requirements, Leadership and Implementation from the British Standards Institute. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Makerere University and a Masters in Management Studies.
