Jen Pinkowski is an experienced journalist and writer who is driven by curiosity. A New Yorker in Berlin, she reports from Europe and beyond. With a focus on international science, health, tech and history, she’s filed from some 40 countries about the work researchers in a range of disciplines are doing to explore, explain and enlarge our world.
Her stories have appeared in the New York Times, National Geographic, Scientific American, Washington Post, Undark, Atlas Obscura, Time, Mental Floss, Yale Insights, Outside, Archaeology, and many other publications. Some of her reporting has been supported by fellowships and grants, including from the National Press Foundation and the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY.
