Lucia Perez Villar is an Economist at the Rwanda Development Board. She previously worked on the Policy Dialogue Initiative on Global Value Chains, Production Transformation and Development at the OECD Development Centre which she joined in 2015 as a Young Professional. She is working exploring how countries can implement effective policies to promote development in open economies through peer learning and multi-stakeholder policy dialogue. Previously she was a PhD candidate and a research assistant at the Kiel Institute for the World  Economy, where she conducted empirical analysis on knowledge transfer in global value chains and host country effects of FDI. Lucia Perez Villar, a Spanish national, holds a Master’s degree in International Economics from the Autonoma University of  Madrid and an Advanced Studies Diploma in International Economic Policy Research from the Kiel Institute for the World Economy.
