Matt is an assistant professor at the University of British Columbia. He received my PhD in Economics from MIT in 2018, and was a postdoctoral fellow at the briq Institute from 2018-2019. He uses field and natural experiments to study the origins, nature, and malleability of relations between groups, whether relating to caste, politics, religion, or gender.
