Signe Nelgen, a German national, has been a PhD student in the School of Economics at the University of Adelaide in Adelaide, Australia since 2009. Her previous studies were at the universities of Hamburg and Mainz in Germany. Her areas of interest include international and development economics. In between her German and Australian studies she worked as a Research Assistant in 2008 on a World Bank research project on Global Distortions to Agricultural Incentives, 1955-2007 (www.worldbank.org/agdistortions), and before that at the Hamburg Institute of International Economics.
