Join the International Growth Centre (IGC), STICERD, LSE Department of Economics and BRAC NGO for a collaborative session bringing together academia and policy makers to explore solutions to protect and empower the most vulnerable and marginalised populations living in extreme poverty. Academics share new evidence from various poverty alleviation programs such as the Graduation approach, and then joined by policymakers from India, Rwanda, and Pakistan in presenting their unique insight on their successes, questions and challenges in designing and implementing such programs.

This session culminates in a joint discussion to identify ways of moving forward and bringing poverty elimination programs to scale in places which are most primed, and where they are most needed. This virtual event takes place on March 1st, from 10 AM to 12:00 PM GMT (London time). All members in academic, NGO and policy roles working on extreme poverty are encouraged to attend.
