Trade research and COVID-19 in Myanmar
This project was developed in response to requests for support with effectively responding to the COVID-19 crisis.
Through real-time monitoring of trade data for informing trade policy responses to COVID-19, this project seeks to help rationalise Myanmar’s tariff structure and support the implementation of a project to survey the impact of COVID-19 on rice mills, that will be co-funded with IFPRI. By informing trade policy and supporting data monitoring at the national level, this project seeks to contribute to a culture of evidence-based policymaking in Myanmar.
