Public Lecture: Industrial Development – China and Africa

As part of Growth Week 2016, Professor John Sutton and Professor Chang-Tai Hsieh held a public lecture entitled “Industrial Development – China and Africa” on Wednesday 1 June.

Industrial development is widely seen as the key to sustained inclusive growth in Africa, and China is often cited as a model.  This panel of experts explored the strengths and pitfalls of this model and the lessons for African industrial development.
