Past Event Patna, India From to Inclusive Growth

The two-day IGC-Bihar Growth conference was organized by the IGC in conjunction with the Asian Development Research Institute (ADRI). Speakers included Professor Anjan Mukherji (IGC Country Director, Bihar), Sushil Modi (Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar), Amarjeet Sinha (Principal Secretary, Department of Health, Government of Bihar) and Steering Group members Dr. Chang-Tai Hsieh and Professor Robin Burgess. Discussion were broad-ranging, and included strengthening state capacity, industrial growth in the state of Bihar and new ways in which economists can better understand human development.
