The discussion features findings and lessons from a recently published IEG report, Country Program Evaluation (CPE) on Mozambique, which assesses the relevance and efficacy of WBG support to the country between 2008 and 2021. The Country Program Evaluation assesses the extent to which the Bank Group’s support was relevant to Mozambique’s main development challenges and drivers of fragility as well as how Bank Group support evolved and adapted over time.

With developing economies facing mounting pressures on increasingly scarce public resources, the event also includes a presentation and roundtable discussion of IEG's recent work evaluating the World Bank’s support for public financial and debt management, and domestic revenue mobilization.
