Dr. Andreas Fuchs is a Senior Researcher at Heidelberg University's Alfred Weber Institute for Economics , where he works at the  Research Center for Distributional Conflict and Globalization. During the 2012-2013 academic year, he was a postdoctoral research fellow at the  Center for Globalization and Governance Niehaus  at Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson School . Andreas defended his dissertation at  the University of Goettingen  in August 2012. His Ph.D. thesis is Entitled "Political Determinants of Foreign Aid and International Trade of Emerging Economies" and has been supervised by  Prof. Dr. Axel Dreher , Prof. Stephan Klasen, Ph.D.  and Prof. Dr. Stefanie Walter . His research Focuses on the international political economy of aid, trade and finance.

Andreas holds a Master's degree from  Goethe University Frankfurt  as well as from  Paris Dauphine University . He has worked as a consultant so for the  Bertelsmann Foundation , the  European Commission , and the  OECD . He is associated with the Cluster of Excellence "Asia and Europe in a Global Context" at Heidelberg University (since 2015) and the  AidData  program at the College of William and Mary and Brigham Young University (since 2012). Research Fields:  International Political Economy , Development Economics, International Trade, Political Economy of China.
