  • PhD Candidate, London School of Economics, STICERD

Anton Heil is studying the impacts of policy interventions on social outcomes in developing economies. His work in collaboration with Claire Balboni, Oriana Bandiera, Robin Burgess and Maitreesh Ghatak on the 2020 study, Why Do People Stay Poor? contributed to evidence that poverty traps were a result of a lack of access to wealth. His current research focuses on social programmes in development and environmental contexts.
