Bjorn Van Campenhout obtained his PhD in Economics from the Catholic University of Leuven (KULeuven) in 2009. During his PhD, he was employed as a Research Assistant at the Institute for Development Policy and Management (IOB) of the University of Antwerp. He has taught econometrics at University of Antwerp and has been working as a post doctoral fellow at the KULeuven (LICOS).
Prior to his PhD, he worked as a researcher in various academic positions at different Universities. He also worked as a methodological advisor to a local NGO in Tanzania. Furthermore, he worked as a researcher at the Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF) in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
