Charles Hinga

Charles Hinga is the principal secretary of the State Department for Housing and Urban Development in Kenya. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree from Kenyatta University and a Bachelor of Accounting Science (Honors) from the University of South Africa. Charles Hinga has worked in South Africa where he participated actively in implementation of infrastructure projects in urban areas via public-private partnerships. His achievements also include serving as an adviser on the City of Johannesburg’s bus rapid transit system, a project that focused on providing better public transport and reducing congestion on public roads.
