Florian Misch is Deputy Head of ZEW's "Corporate Taxation and Public Finance" Research Department. His research interests cover, broadly speaking, public finance, macroeconomics and political economy. Much of his current research focuses on the effects of fiscal policy at the firm level and on fiscal management as well as fiscal governance. Before joining ZEW in November 2009, he spent three years as a PhD student at the Nottingham School of Economics, where he completed his PhD in 2010. He holds a postgraduate degree in Economics from the European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) and a postgraduate certificate in International Economic Policy Research from the Kiel Institute for the World Economy (IfW). He has also worked on various projects for the World Bank, the German International Cooperation (GIZ), the New Zealand Treasury, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the International Growth Centre (IGC) in the area of public finance and macroeconomics.
