Monica Singhal is a Professor in the Economics department at UC Davis and a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research. Her primary research field is public finance, with a particular focus on tax and transfer programs in developing economies. She has served as a co-editor of the Journal of Public Economics and on the Board of Directors of the National Tax Association. She received her AB and PhD from Harvard University.
