Mujtaba Piracha is Pakistan's ambassador to the World Trade Organization (WTO). He has also held several positions with the local and provincial government. He was member Punjab Revenue Authority and Secretary for Industries, Commerce and Investment in Punjab and also served as commissioner Lahore. He specialises in public financial management and completed his PhD at the Institute of Development Studies in 2016. His PhD thesis was on sub-national taxation.
