Rafael Dix-Carneiro is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Duke University and holds affiliations to the Bureau for Research and Economic Analysis of Development (BREAD) and the International Growth Centre (IGC). His research focuses on topics related to International Trade, Labor Economics and Economic Development. The bulk of his work is devoted to studying the effects of globalisation and trade shocks on workers and firms and in understanding the adjustment process that follows periods
of trade liberalisation.

His work has been published in journals such as Econometrica, the American Economic Journal: Economic Policy and the World Bank Economic Review.
