Sarah Lyness is the Communications and Talent Director of the IGC. She joined IGC in 2013 where she set up the communications and evaluations teams, has worked on funding developments, and more recently oversees talent-related issues. She is an experienced NGO leader spanning health and international development, working at the research and policy interface.
Sarah was a member of the Executive Board at Cancer Research UK for 8 years where she had specific responsibilities covering communications, fundraising, public health, policy, information services, brand and IT. Previously, she had roles at Oxfam and the food industry. Sarah holds an MSc in Public Health from London School of Hygiene and Tropical medicine; an MA In Metallurgy, Economics and Management from the University of Oxford; and is a qualified Coach and Associate Member of the European Mentoring & Coaching Council (EMCC).
