Sheheryar Shahid is a Programme Coordinator at the IGC Hub in London. He holds extensive experience in humanitarian action, climate Innovation, social protection and poverty alleviation initiatives across Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. 

He is passionate about addressing complex challenges in development and humanitarian contexts. Before joining the IGC, he was involved in a research collaboration between GiveDirectly, Oxford University, and Google aimed at forecasting and mitigating the damage caused by recurrent climate disasters - contributing to a policy paper on Anticipatory Action for United Nations COP28. He also designed Pakistan's National Social Protection Strategy, focusing on climate-smart agri-value chains, digital inclusion, and community-owned renewable energy. His research interests span aid effectiveness, measuring shock-responsiveness and machine-learning based targeting.

Sheheryar holds a degree in Economics and Political Science with a minor in Sociology and Anthropology from the Lahore University of Management Sciences. At the IGC, he coordinates a substantial research portfolio to shape evidence-based policy in Asia and Africa.
