Timothy Powell-Jackson is an Associate Professor in Health Economics at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. He has 12 years of research experience working in low- and middle-income countries, applying empirical methods to better understand how health systems function and how they can improve. Much of his work involves the evaluation of policies that seek to increase demand for and the supply of healthcare. His work on topics ranging from user fee removal and financial incentives to management practices and the private sector have been published in high impact medical journals as well as leading health and development economics journals.
